KreATiVE KiDS

Rodney's Nursery have been running KreATiVE KiDS klasses every Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 for the locals. They are held in the heated log cabin within the nursery, the kiddies get morning tea, fruit & fairy bread and a drink plus the activity all for $7.50. You have to book at www.rodneys.com.au as places are limited

Here is a look at what the kids got up to with Paper Making in the first week!

Last week some stunning peg dolls were created with tutus, crowns and beautiful long flowing hair! Biscuits were baked and decorated this week and next week the kids pot their own herbs.

If you've got a little one not yet at schoool and looking for something to do on Thursdays this is a nice way to enjoy the crisp and chilly mornings in Canberra.....

Winning Babies Week 1

Meet our winning babies from Week 1 of the Babies in Beanies photographic competition. These babies, left to right, Samantha, Maxwell, Ella and Laila C, had the highest votes on MissChief Maker & Snowgum Studio. But mums, don't despair.........there will be one 'wild card' selected from each week to join the 16 finalists. This 'wild card' won't be based on votes - it's a selection by a panel of judges. So keep posted on who will go into the finals from week 1.

Congratulations to all our gorgeous babies. Thank you for being part of this wonderful cause.

More Time Slots added

The babies in beanies has been so popular on Sundays and completely sold out, so Leonie from Snowgum Studio has kindly donated more of her time to add 3 additional time slots on Sunday morning 20th ans 27th June.

We are also adding some times to Saturday 26th June between 1:30 - 3:30. If you missed out, tell your friends to book now before it sells out again!

Babies in Beanies - Voting has begun!

Well it's that time again - the voting is ON and we need your vote!!

Babies in Beanies evolved from a passion of Leonie of Snowgum Studio, and me, to capture the real essence of winter in Canberra. Rugged up kiddies, with beanies, mittens and scarves was what we thought of. We wanted to also support a local cause. The photographic competition to raise money for the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation started in 2009. We raised $2800 from entrant fees and raffles last year that went towards funds for the humidicrib for the Canberra Hospital.

The 2010 competition has just begun. We are aiming for $6500 in fundraising this year for a new piece of equipment for the neo-natal unit in the Canberra Hospital.

With 5 weeks of voting, and over 100 babies to vote for, it's set to be a tough competition. I'm glad I'm not voting!

Be sure to visit MissChief Maker website and Snowgum Studio blog to vote for the cutest Canberra baby in a beanie. You can vote once on each site. The two highest votes from each site go into the finalists of 16 babies.

It's tooooooo cute......
